This past year I had the pleasure of working alongside Sweetbay Photography as one of their associate shooters. For my brides that may not know what this is, this means that I work as a team member shooting weddings on behalf of Sweetbay Photography, and sometimes for other companies as well! It’s so much fun to be able to have the opportunity to work with, and for, some amazing photographers!
For this particular wedding, I was paired with Heidi & Spencer. I guess Opal knew that my personality was just the right fit for these two. Heidi and I hit it off immediately! When I arrived, her hair was getting final touches, and her friends and family were relaxing while they finished up the gourmet sandwiches that Heidi herself prepared for them. You see, Heidi is a chef and actually works at the venue where her wedding was held, so you know that those sandwiches were amazing!!
As the day progressed, Heidi & Spencer’s family and friends gathered around to celebrate alongside them in front of a beautiful backdrop of hills and the vineyard. The view was breathtaking! You’ll see for yourself in a moment! I honestly could have kept the two of them and the wedding party there for all of their portraits, because it was just that pretty, but it was HOT. I couldn’t ask them all to stay out there in the sun after being up there, practically melting, for the past 30 minutes! Instead, we found an unconventional spot for the wedding party photos in front of a set of brown doors that actually housed, wait for it…..the dumpsters! Yes, behind those beautiful doors, were giant trash cans! On the bright side, we couldn’t smell it!!
Over the course of the evening, toasts and speeches were made and first dances were danced, and the love of two people brought everyone together.
Enjoy some of my favorites!!
